Yealink VoIP phone WiFi setup

Yealink phones connect to WiFi in one of two ways, depending on the model:

  • Built-in WiFi: the model name ends in W (for example T31W, T34W, T44W, T53W, T54W, T57W, T58W, T73W, T74W, T85W, T87W).
  • USB WiFi dongle: the U-series phones (T42U, T43U, T44U, T46U, T48U, T73U, T74U, T77U and so on), plus the T53, T52S, T54S and older models like the T46S, T42S and T41S. These need a Yealink WF50 or WF40 adapter, sold separately.

Check the label on the back of your phone. A model ending in W has WiFi built in. A model ending in U or S, or a plain T53, needs a dongle. The T44W has built-in WiFi, but the T44U does not.

After you connect

Your phone should now be on WiFi, registered to your account, and ready to make and receive calls. Registration can take a minute or longer.

If the phone doesn’t register, confirm it’s connected to the right network, make sure the password was entered correctly, and check that your WiFi signal is strong where the phone sits.
