Introducing Phoneware Edge, our own platform

For most of the last decade, cloud phone providers all looked about the same from the outside: everyone rented the same handful of platforms and put their logo on top. We decided to do something different.

Phoneware Edge is our own platform. We host it, we run it, and we operate it as a carrier, which makes us your telco, not a reseller. That single change is behind almost everything customers notice about working with us.

Control of the whole stack

When you resell someone else’s softswitch, you get whatever they built, on their timeline. Running the platform ourselves means we can tune it, secure it, and customize it around how your business actually works, call flows, integrations, and features that a reseller simply can’t touch.

Reliability we can stand behind

Owning the platform lets us build continuity in at every layer: carrier-grade voice, automatic disaster routing, and, because a phone system is only as reliable as the internet under it, multi-carrier 5G and Starlink failover to keep you online. “Built to keep running” isn’t a tagline; it’s the architecture.

AI, built in

A modern phone system should do more than ring. Edge includes AI voice agents that answer and route calls around the clock, book appointments, and take messages, with your choice of AI model and connections to the tools you already use. Not bolt-ons from a third party, but part of the platform we control.

The part that hasn’t changed

We’ve been designing, installing, and supporting business phone systems since 1982. The platform got better; the way we treat customers didn’t. Call us and you still reach a technician who knows your account by name. That’s the whole point.
