Get Your Voicemails as a Text
Voicemail works best when you actually know it’s there. Instead of waiting for the message-waiting light or checking a mailbox, Phoneware can text you the moment a voicemail arrives, with the transcription right in the message.
Turn it on from the Voicemail tab of any user or call queue with a single checkbox. When someone leaves a message, the recipients get a text with who called and what they said.
Make it yours with the Sender Setup
A basic toggle is fine, but sometimes you want control over how the text looks and where it comes from. The Sender Setup, right next to the toggle, lets you configure it per mailbox:
- Choose the sender. Send from a NetSapiens number, or from your Clerk business texting number.
- Pick the recipients. Text one person or a whole list.
- Shape the message. Add a prefix or postfix, and turn the transcription on or off.
Where it helps
- Never miss an after-hours message. The people on call get the voicemail as a text, transcription included, without logging in.
- Route messages to the right person. Point a mailbox’s texts at whoever should act on them.
- Read instead of listen. The transcription means you can triage a message from a meeting without playing audio.
You can also set the mailbox type while you’re there, so shared and individual mailboxes behave the way you expect.
